Brown Consulting is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr Stephen Moore as the National Group Leader – Transportation. Dr Moore has been appointed to lead and grow the transportation capabilities of Brown Consulting.

Gary Spence, Managing Director of Brown Consulting, said the transportation sector is a growth area for the business. “Following Brown Consulting’s recent union with Calibre Global I anticipate an increased demand for transport services, especially within the rail sector, an area which Dr Moore has considerable experience,” said Mr Spence.

Dr Moore said he was thrilled to be joining Brown Consulting. “Brown Consulting is a growing firm so I look forward to taking a leadership role in the business and helping deliver transportation projects to Brown’s clients,” said Dr Moore.

Dr Moore is acknowledged for his expertise in major infrastructure strategies and appraisal; traffic and transport planning; train and tram operations; bus and bus/rail interchanges; bus planning and operations and pedestrian planning. He has also been called upon to provide high level technical, strategic and policy advice to a range of public sector clients and private organisations across a wide range of transportation projects.

“I’ve been fortunate to work on some exciting projects during my career. Highlights include events planning for major events such as the Sydney Olympics and World Youth Day; leading the operational analysis and revenue forecasting for the M5 corridor in New South Wales and the Brisbane/Gold Coast corridor upgrade in Queensland and strategic transport planning for the re-franchising of Melbourne’s trains and trams,” said Dr Moore.

Prior to joining Brown Consulting, Dr Moore was Regional Director and Development Director - Roads for Halcrow. His professional experience also included leadership roles at ARRB Group, Traffic Planning Pty Ltd, Geographic Technologies Australia and Aurecon (formerly Connell Wagner).
